About Us

WELCOME TO SCOIL PHÁDRAIG

Scoil Phádraig is a co-educational primary school in the heart of Westport. We are a Catholic school under the patronage of the Diocese of Tuam, and we welcome children of all faiths and none.

Scoil Phádraig is a happy and safe place where children learn, play and grow together each day, supported by a caring and dedicated staff.

We hope you enjoy looking through our website and getting a feel for everyday life in our school, the activities we enjoy, and the warm school community shared by our children, staff and parents.

POBAL

Pobal means community, and in our school it is a social awareness programme developed collaboratively by children, teachers and SNAs. Rather than focusing on rules, we have moved towards shared expectations. Pobal outlines the seven key expectations that guide how we work together and support one another each day.

The group meets regularly to advise the principal and to support the effective and smooth running of the school.
